Kiwanis present annual steak fry

The Kiwanis Club of Sunnyslope on May 2 presents its annual top fundraising event, the Steak Fry, with an old partner and a new location.

The event takes place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Outback Steakhouse located on the northbound I-17 frontage road, 9801 N. Black Canyon Highway, just north of Dunlap Avenue.

Outback has been a longtime partner in the Sunnyslope Kiwanis’ steak fry, providing the steaks, chicken and sides, but this is the first year the restaurant itself is hosting the event. Those attending the event will have their choice of steak or chicken, various side dishes, and non-alcoholic beverages to select from. Tickets are $25 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and under. Proceeds benefit programs that assist children and the elderly in the Sunnyslope community.

For more information, call Ron Gawlitta at 602-242-7600. Tickets can be purchased at the Cave Creek Lock-It Lockers, 1201 E. Cinnabar Ave. (602-943-2679), and at Accurate Signs & Engraving, 8903 N. 7th St. (602-944-3587), just east of the Radio Shack.
