Help eradicate childhood blindness

During May, The Vitamin Shoppe store at 1935 E. Camelback Road will accept cash donations on behalf of Vitamin Angels.

The goal is to eradicate childhood blindness caused by vitamin A deficiency (VAD) worldwide by the year 2020. The Operation 20/20 campaign will alleviate vitamin A deficiency by providing just two high-dose vitamin A capsules to children ages 1 to 4 and lactating mothers each year for a course of four to five years.

Customers can donate $1 or more to the campaign and sign a Vitamin Angels paper angel to hang in the store. Any customer who donates $5 or more will receive a limited edition reusable bag. On-line customers can also donate with each purchase at www.vitaminshoppe.com.
