The Acacia Library presents fun and free activities beginning at 2 p.m. Thursdays July 9, 16 and 23. Upcoming programs, best for children ages 5 and up, include:
• Reptile Adventures, July 9—delivers a live reptile education program using captive, reared and kid-friendly creatures, both large and small, to teach children about animal life cycles, reproduction, and defense characteristics.
• Storyteller Rosie Witcher, July 16—Journey to another time and place with classic fairy tales with a Cajun twist by a master storyteller.
• “Worm Drive The Musical,” July 23—A live, educational and entertaining performance all about the mighty earthworm!
Teens enjoy great food and socializing this month with two special events. On July 10, teens ages 12-18 can create their own sundaes and smoothies. The program begins at 6:30 p.m.
Teens are invited to return to the library on July 24 for a summer pizza party and games. Listen to music, play Nintendo Wii and Guitar Hero, or enjoy a board game. The program begins at 5 p.m.
