| New campaign aims at underage drinking |

For many families the holidays are a time of celebration—and alcohol is often a part of the festivities. The Draw the Line campaign applauds law enforcement for ensuring Arizona’s roads will again be safe this year from drunk drivers, and reminds adults that alcohol is harmful to teens regardless of whether or not they are behind the wheel. “During the holiday season and beyond, parents and other adults need to drink responsibly and use designated drivers,” said Gov. Janet Napolitano. “Leading by positive example helps influence teens to make responsible choices. It's time for adults to draw the line against underage drinking.” Governor Napolitano and the Arizona Underage Drinking Prevention Committee have created the Draw the Line campaign to raise awareness, change attitudes and alter the behavior of adults regarding the harms of serving youth alcohol. “Adults who serve teens send a confusing message about the law. Instead, adults can positively influence our children and find tips for doing so at www.drawyourline.com—the state’s resource for underage drinking prevention,” said Richard Fimbres, director of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
