Give blood in January and receive a voucher for a free ticket to the 2010 Waste Management Phoenix Open (formerly the FBR Open).

    The Thunderbirds, host of the tournament, have teamed up with United Blood Services to help build blood supplies in honor of National Volunteer Blood Donor Month. The voucher can be redeemed at the gate for a one-day pass to the events at the TPC Scottsdale Feb. 22-28.

    Several blood drives are scheduled this month in the North Central area. You also can also visit the United Blood Services Donor Center at 5757 N. Black Canyon Hwy., Tuesdays through Saturdays.
