Amnesia makes for bizarre day in ‘Meers’ |
Nearly Naked Theatre presents “Fuddy Meers,” a poignant and brutal new comedy that traces one woman’s attempt to regain her memory while surrounded by a curio-cabinet of alarmingly bizarre characters. Claire has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia that erases her memory whenever she goes to sleep. This morning, like all mornings, her chipper husband comes in with a cup of coffee, explains her condition, hands her a book filled with essential information, and disappears into the shower. From there her day becomes a harrowing rollercoaster ride. “Fuddy Meers” runs through Feb. 13 at Phoenix Theatre’s Little Theatre, 100 E. McDowell Road. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and Sundays at 2 or 6 p.m., alternating. General Admission tickets start at $25. For tickets, call 602-254-2151.
