Kathryn Maloney-Langmade, president of W.J. Maloney Plumbing Co., has been appointed to the Camelback East Village Planning Committee. She will serve a two-year term on the committee.
The job of the committee is to work with the community on planning and development issues, and the goal is to offer a variety of housing, job opportunities, education, recreation and shopping facilities.
Camelback East Village is bounded by Northern Avenue to the north, Grand Canal to the south, Seventh Street to the west and 64th Street to the east.
“As a central Phoenix native, I’m proud to be a part of this committee,” said Maloney-Langmade. “It will be an honor to work with members of the community in planning the growth of our designated ‘village’ in the heart of the Valley.”
Maloney-Langmade is an active member of the Junior League of Phoenix and has chaired several committees, including Women Living Free and Hearts and Hands. She earned her journeyman’s plumbing license in 2009.
