Half Price Books, the nation’s largest family-owned new and used bookstore chain, opened its 106th location on Feb. 4 at 2102 E. Camelback Road. The new location occupies 7,700 square feet, and is open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The store also purchased gently used books, DVDs, CDs and more, for cash or trade credit.

    To celebrate its opening while giving back to the community, Half Price Books is hosting a Half Pint Library Book Drive through March 31. This program collects and distributes children’s books to families and children in need through local nonprofit and community organizations. The drive accepts any type of children’s book, including Spanish language books, as long as they are in good condition.
