The School of Ballet Arizona (SBAZ), in partnership with the Southwest Classical Dance Institute (SCDI), will host a Spring Master Class series May 24-29 and a Summer Master Class Series June 28-July 3.

    Former director of the Boston Ballet Anna Marie Holmes, and Patricia Wilde, founding director of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, will conduct master classes in May. The second session will feature Marat Daukeyev, former principal dancer with the Kirov Ballet, and Rudolf Kharatian, artistic director of the National Ballet of Armenia, and Arka Ballet.

    The intermediate-advance classes for ages 10-21 are open to the public as well as current students. Area dance teachers are invited to attend a “Meet the Artist” open discussion on the Wednesday and Saturday of each session. SCDI is also providing a limited number of scholarships for this program.
