Sell your gently used children’s stuff online |
VinKid.com, short for “Vintage Kid Exchange,” is a site that enables users to buy, sell or trade gently used children’s products and keep 100 percent of the proceeds. The concept was borne out of first-time mom and Phoenix resident Nikki Rae’s efforts to purge herself of an overabundance of kid's items. While consignment stores take a percentage of sales, and often only select merchandise that their limited clientele will consider, VinKid.com does not restrict merchandise based on geography, seasons or size since sales are negotiated directly between buyers and sellers online. Proceeds are retained by the seller—no taxes, no fees and no hidden charges. VinKid.com allows users to upload photos, create a product description and engage in a discussion with potential buyers or sellers. Transaction and delivery arrangements are made between buyer and seller, using common tools such as PayPal and credit cards. To help stock its virtual shelves, VinKid.com is offering a chance for sellers to win a Gucci handbag, with an entry submitted for every item uploaded to the site hrough Sept. 30.
