Activities, fun offered at JFCS The nonprofit JFCS Center for Senior Enrichment is a place where adults age 60 and older (and physically challenged adults of any age) can come to socialize, eat a tasty kosher lunch Monday-Friday ($4), and take advantage of a variety of free and low-cost classes. Enjoy a Musical Variety Show with Florie Freshman beginning 12:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7. Broadway, country, pop, Yiddish—this vibrant performer has something for everyone! “’Til Death Us Do Part: Marriage in Art,” is an art lecture and slide show with docent Judy Washor from the Phoenix Art Museum set for 12:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. Observe and be surprised at how the great masters depict the marital relationship. Marc Paquette, Attorney at Law, will discuss “Power of Attorney, Wills and Trusts,” 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. Paquette will explain the importance of having a will, trust and powers of attorney and having each updated. Questions and discussion will follow. A new Digital Camera Class with Wally Rand begins 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9. Rand will share his knowledge of how to take great pictures with a digital camera. “Pots, Paint and Clay” with Sherri Geiss of VanGo Pottery takes place Mondays, Jan. 14 and 28 at 10 a.m. Let your imagination flourish as you paint an original design on a pottery piece of your choice or create something new from a lump of clay. A small fee of $3 will cover selected pieces and all other materials. Geiss will fire your pieces for you. The above programs are all free, unless otherwise indicated.
