The Moon Valley Grasshopper Bridge 5K Run and Walk returns to North Phoenix on Saturday, Sept. 25.

    The races start at 3rd Avenue and West Betty Elyse and wind through residential streets and park grass, traversing under and over the famous Grasshopper Bridge and finishing in Moon Valley Park. Parking will be at St. Paul’s Church, 330 W. Coral Gables Drive (just east of the park) or at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 325 W. Coral Gables Drive. On-site registration begins at 5:45 a.m., with racers setting off at 7 a.m. Cost is $20 before Sept. 12, and $25 afterward.

    To encourage family participation in the 5K Walk, children 10 and under are free (no T-shirt) with a paying adult walker.
