Last city home on Mariposa for sale

A Request For Proposal (RFP) for the city to sell the historic house at 50 W. Mariposa St. is now available. Other adjacent homes the city owns on Mariposa and two vacant lots already have been awarded.

    The minimum purchase price for 50 W. Mariposa is $26,000, and proposers must be willing to complete critical priority rehabilitation items within 15 months of executing agreements with the city and to owner-occupy the residence for at least three years. There also is up to $10,000 available in city historic preservation grant funds to offset rehabilitation costs.

    An Open House to view the home will take place 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. RFP packets are available at the Public Transit Department, 302 N. 1st Ave., 9th Floor, or can be downloaded electronically from city of Phoenix website at phoenix.gov/business/contract/ opportunities/easbids/currentbids/.
