Items of interest at the Library:
‘Readerman’ a new kind of hero

Phoenix has a new superhero in town and he’s here to make a difference in kids’ lives. Phoenix Public Library’s “Readerman” gives kids the confidence to read and the desire to build their super powers at the library.
Each Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., “Readerman” dons his red cape and visits in the Children’s Place at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. Parents and teachers should be prepared to watch their kids transform into super readers and bring a camera to document the fun.
For more information about Phoenix Public Library and its superhero “Readerman,” visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org or call 602-262-4636.
