Mental ward romance interpreted in dance
Scorpius Dance Theatre presents “An Unusual Love Story,” May 15-25, in the Phoenix Little Theatre. Previously a fact-based, psychoanalytic novel, a stage play, and a 1960s film, Scorpius will be the first to abstract David+Lisa into the realm of contemporary dance in its production of “An Unusual Love Story.”

The intense fairy-tale-of-sorts, tells of two people who meet in a mental institution. After a series of events an unlikely attachment is developed between the two volatile individuals.
