ASA's Carroll headed to Harvard |
North Central 15-year-old Lauren Carroll has been accepted to the prestigious Summer Prep program at Harvard University. “I can’t wait,” says Carroll, “I want to go into politics, so Harvard is the place to learn from the best. What great American political stories have started there!”
 Lauren Carroll Carroll applied to the program in February and got her acceptance in just three days. She now is working on scholarships and donations to help pay the $5,000 cost for tuition, room, board and travel. Carroll will take a political science course for which she will receive four full Harvard credit this summer. . Carroll is a straight A student at Arizona School for the Arts, a Blue Ribbon School. There, she plays saxophone and clarinet in the jazz band, wind ensemble and concert band. She sings in the concert choir and is president of the school’s Human Rights Club. Also, she is a member of the award-winning mock trial team and a member of Phoenix City Jazz.
