| City holds surplus auction |

A wide range of surplus materials—ranging from furniture and appliances to building materials and cars—will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the Phoenix Surplus Public Auction, 8 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at the city’s auction yard, 2820 S. 22nd Ave. (south of Lower Buckeye Road).
Gates open to the public at 6:30 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. The auction starts at 8 a.m. The cashier will remain open until 1:30 p.m. the day of the auction. Items to be sold may be inspected at the auction yard from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16. People planning to attend the auction now may register online at phoenix.gov/invmgt and receive their bidder card when they arrive at the sale. Registration continues to be available at the auction.
