Transition to High School Night planned
Parents of seventh and eighth grade students in the North Central Phoenix area are invited to attend the second-annual Transition to High School Night, set for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the Madison Park cafeteria1431 E. Campbell Ave.
Representatives and high school students from 24 local high schools will be available to talk to parents and their middle school children about their programs including representatives from Phoenix Union High School District’s magnet programs, as well as a number of private and charter schools from around the Valley. This evening will provide parents with valuable information to help make the transition an exciting and rewarding experience.

“Transition to High School Night is one of the events that we sponsor as a way of giving back to our school and district community,” said Biss Kuttner, site coordinator, Arizona Quest for Kids/Madison Park School. “We give out information about helping students transition, the importance of parent participation now and on into the high school years, etc. It is an important and exciting event as it emphasizes that this transition is really the very first opportunity for students to participate with their parents in making a life-altering decision about their own future.”

Transition to High School Night is sponsored by the Arizona Quest for Kids program at Madison Park, and Madison Park School. For more information, call Biss Kuttner at 602-664-7583 or e-mail bkuttner@msd38.org.
