Bike shop, café all under one roof
What do you get when you combine bike repairs with sandwiches, pastries and espresso? The answer clearly is, something pretty unique.
The Trailhead Bike Shop and Cafe celebrated its grand opening Nov. 15-16 at 6825 N. 16th St., #A9, next to the Bashas’ grocery store.
The eatery and bike shop is owned and operated by Kiel Marley. Marley is an Arizona native and has lived here for 25 years. He currently is a business student at Arizona State University and is combining his love of the cycling world and his background in business to build a shop that caters not just to the elite cyclist but also to individuals of all athletic abilities.
Food selections are simple and fairly inexpensive. For breakfast, select from assorted muffins, pastries, a quiche of the day, fruit and cheese plate, or yogurt and granola. Lunch includes for sandwich selections, including a veggie option. Ice-blended drinks, smoothies, espresso options, and bottled sodas round out the menu.
    Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Call 602-264-2328 or visit www.trail headbikecafe.com.
