Last month, a group of lucky Valley kids—including a couple from North Central Phoenix—kicked off a year-long stint as members of the yummiest club in town: Roxie’s Taste Buds.

    Named after the Shamrock Farms spokescow Roxie, the club is a group of 6- to 12-year-olds who serve as the company’s official consumer flavor panel.

    The 2009 Taste Buds met for the first time on Feb. 7 at the Shamrock Foods production facility in Phoenix, where they learned about healthy lifestyle choices. They also visited the Shamrock Farms processing plant for a behind-the-scenes tour.

    Other activities for the year include receiving VIP treatment at the Shamrock Farms Farm Tour in Stanfield, participating in a hands-on cooking lesson and giving feedback on new and existing products.
