New Village Center residents group formed

In November 2008, a group of concerned citizens in the Village Center area agreed to form a neighborhood association to act as a liaison to work with the city and Police Depart in addressing issues like crime, graffiti, homelessness, blight, and other items that are detrimental to any neighborhood.

The Village Center Neighborhood Association is bounded by Dunlap Avenue to the north, the Arizona Canal/Las Palmaritas to the south, Central Avenue to the west, and 7th Street to the east. Meetings are held 9:30 a.m. at Sunnyslope Manor Community Room, 205 E. Ruth Ave. The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for March 28.

For more information, or to be placed on the association’s e-mail list, send an e-mail to VillageCenterNA@ gmail.com or call 602-410-1267.
